Photographer in Great Falls | Things that ARE Going Right...

Lots of stuff isn’t perfect right now, right? We’re stuck inside, I’m running out of toilet paper, and to make this joke even more cruel, we woke up to snow (thanks, Montana!). So to keep me sane, I’m really trying to focus on my daily “wins”…no matter how small they are. And guess what?! You get to hear all about them! And don’t act like you have better things to do…. ;-)

First up? I kept a plant alive, y’all! For real…I have kept this orchid alive for 5 WEEKS! 5! This is about 5 times longer than I’ve ever been able to keep something alive (other than my dog and my kids).

This beauty was given to me by my kiddos for Valentine’s Day, and it is still kickin’ 5 weeks and 3 days later. Trust me - at least once it has crossed my mind that I might be watering a fake plant, but I promise this is the real deal. So there it is…my little pride and joy. If I can keep this up much longer, I’ll probably have to name it.

What I am also very grateful for is this “job” of mine, that not only helps support me financially, but also mentally. I get to meet the MOST amazing families and people, and when I get to work with them more than once? Oh my gosh - it means the world.

This little guy and his beautiful moms allowed me to work with them again - and this session was nothing short of magical. Cutie-pants little Finn + Where the Wild Things Are theme + a beautiful Saturday evening = heaven.

Okay, remember I said the little “wins”. So home decorating is another love of mine, but I’ve been reeeeally trying to tighten my budget and only buy the necessities. Boo.

Until I went to Wal-Mart. And I happened to find that I needed some bedside lamps for my bedroom. I thought they were $12, which wasn’t bad, so I threw them in with the rest of my stuff (actual necessities). And guess what?! $4, people! They’re super cute, and 1/3 of what I thought they cost, so…#win.

And last, but definitely not least, is this little girl. My Kona pup has been my shadow as I’ve been working from home this last week. If I’m in my bedroom, she’s on the bed. If I’m in the living room, she’s on the couch next to me. If I drop food, she picks it up (so helpful). Dogs are the best, so she for sure makes my list!

Alright, that’s all for now :) So I hope my “wins” inspire you to think about yours…no matter how small they are! Remember…I got excited about a $4 Wal-Mart lamp. It can only go up from there!

Here’s to hoping you all are staying safe, healthy, and sane locked up in your homes!

xoxo,
